Built for the operators who built the park.

The context

Independent campground owners have been running on outdated software for a long time. OpenCampground has served many parks well, but it runs on an old Rails codebase.

Many systems are sized for hotel chains, not family parks with one front desk.

SimpleCampground brings reservations, a guest booking page, card payments, point of sale, staff scheduling and reports into one system.

How it's built

Your data is yours.

Available

BSL 1.1 source-available license. The license converts to Apache 2.0 four years after each version release.

Designed for phones.

In Beta

Office screens and guest pages are designed for phone-size screens. We are still testing every screen.

Offline edge appliance.

Roadmap

A Raspberry Pi on-site replicates your data locally so the office keeps checking guests in when the internet drops. Pairing is built; live replication is not.

The platform

SimpleCampground is powered by xgenmanagen — a vertically-extensible management platform built for independent hospitality and resale businesses.

The campground vertical ships first. More verticals follow.

The source is available under BSL 1.1. It converts to Apache 2.0 four years after each version release.
