Availability Grid

How to use the availability grid to view occupancy, move reservations, and spot gaps.

The availability grid is your primary day-to-day operations view. It shows all sites as rows and dates as columns. Each reservation appears as a coloured block spanning its arrival-to-departure range.

Opening the grid

Click Availability in the left sidebar.

Reading the grid

  • Each row is one site.
  • Each column is one day.
  • Coloured blocks are reservations. The block label shows the camper’s name and status chip.
  • Empty cells are available nights.
  • Grey cells are blackout periods (maintenance holds or closures).

Reservation block colours indicate status:

  • Blue — Confirmed
  • Green — Checked in
  • Orange — Unconfirmed (awaiting approval)
  • Yellow/amber — Draft or Waitlisted
  • Red — Cancelled or No-show

Use the ← Previous and Next → arrows at the top of the grid to move the visible date window. The date range shown is configurable — use the date picker at the top to jump to a specific period.

Moving a reservation (drag and drop)

You can reassign a reservation to a different site or shift its dates by dragging:

  1. Click and hold the reservation block.
  2. Drag it to the desired site row or date column.
  3. Release. If the destination is available, the reservation moves immediately. If there is a conflict, the drop is rejected and the block snaps back.

Creating a reservation from the grid

Click any empty cell (site × date) to open the new reservation form pre-filled with that site and arrival date.

Opening a reservation from the grid

Click on an existing reservation block to open its detail panel.

Occupancy heat-map

For a higher-level view, click Occupancy in the left sidebar. This shows a colour-gradient calendar where darker cells indicate higher occupancy. Use it to spot low-occupancy periods for promotions or to avoid overbooking during peak times.

Troubleshooting

Reservation won’t drop on a cell — the destination site is already occupied on those dates, or a blackout covers the period. Check for existing reservations or blackouts on that cell.

Site row not visible — the site may be inactive. Active sites are listed in Sites; inactive sites are hidden from the grid.
